I purchased a preowned Acura ,2017 model with the Krell audio system. The volume range setting runs from zero to forty on the volume control. At settings above 25, the system, after about 3 to 5 minutes shuts down.
I can "re-establish" sound if I turn the ignition off and restart the car. However the scenario plays itself out again after 3 to 5 minutes of play.

I took the car to the dealer that I purchased it from and a system check was completed. Following an hour wait, I was told that the system has a "protective circuit" that shuts things down to protect the amplifier. They told me that a new amplifier wouldn't make any difference and that it too would behave the same way.In so many words, deal with it.
I believe that some music is made to be played loud (at least that's what I tell my wife!). When I raise the volume to a setting of 30 or 35 it is tolerated by the system for all of 3 to 5 minutes then shuts down. I can't for the life of me believe that a $2,500.00 option would behave this way. Has anyone else had this experience?
Please advise.
Steve Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10217628224721756053noreply@blogger.com
